Josefa Rivera Prado, 88, of Batesville died on Oct. 23, 2016, at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Nov. 2, 1927, in Batesville to Rebecca (Rivera) and Francisco Prado. She is survived by one sister, Evangelina Mason; and one brother, Fermin Prado, both of Batesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters, Dora Vasquez, Sara Prado, Mary Reeves, Felice Thomas and Ramona Santos; and six brothers, Daniel Prado Sr., Remigio Prado Sr., Dick Prado, Manuel Prado, Trine Maldonado, and Reynaldo Prado. A rosary was recited on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Cremation was under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
