Frances King, 88, of Leakey, formerly of Uvalde, died on Dec. 21, 2016, in Pleasanton. She was born on Aug. 27, 1928, in Crystal City to Floye (Pruitt) and Raymond Nabours. She married Edwin E. King on June 6, 1948, in Batesville. He preceded her in death in 2010. She is survived by two sons, Glenn King and wife, Marqueta, of Gainesville, and Ray King and wife, Stephanie, of Uvalde; one daughter, Sherry Grissom and husband, Robert, of Pleasanton; six grandchildren, Reagan King and wife, Carlynn, Kelli Snedecor and husband, Scott, Macy Sutherland and husband, Heath, Andrew King and wife, Kristin, Jared King and fiancée, Michelle Wagner, and Mason Kellner; and seven great-grandchildren, Colton Snedecor, Kallyn Snedecor, Emeri King, Keiran King, Rhea King, Elaina King, and Carson Wagner. King was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one sister, Lee Morris. A graveside service was held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Cemetery.
