Jose Luis Rios, 56, of Batesville died on Feb. 11, 2017, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 17, 1960, in San Antonio to Isabel (Garza) and Alvino V. Rios. Rios married Rosa Anna Ramos on March 9, 1980, in Batesville. He is survived by his wife of 36 years; mother; one daughter, Maria Isabel Rios; and two sons, Jose Luis Rios Jr. and Raul Rios, all of Batesville; six brothers, Alvino Rios Jr., Noe Rios, and Esvaro Rios, all of Batesville, Roland Rios of Germany, Bernaldo Rios of Arizona, and Marcos Rios of Kerrville; seven grandchildren, Michael Rios, Lenora Rios, Leland Rios, Angel Rios, Jordan Rios, Aaliyah Wiebrand, and Colton Wiebrand; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Rios was preceded in death by his father, and one brother, Abel Rios. A rosary was recited on Wednesday and again on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass was held on Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Batesville, followed by interment at Batesville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jose Luis Rios Jr., Alvino Rios Jr., Esvaro Rios, Rolando Rios, Noe Rios, Bernaldo Rios, Marcos Rios, and Victor Rios.
