Neva Joyce Chaney White, 85, of San Antonio, formerly of Uvalde, died on March 24, 2017, at Hopes Residence in San Antonio. She was born on Jan. 15, 1932 in Utopia to Charlcy L. (Whitlock) and John H. Chaney. She was a graduate of Uvalde High School. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Garland Doogie White; her mother and stepfather, W.E. Davis; and her father and stepmother, Josephine L. Chaney. She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Seward of Waco and Shannon J. Wilson of Austin. A private service was held, followed by interment on March 27, 2017, at Waresville Cemetery in Utopia. Arrangements were under the care of M. E. Rodriguez Funeral Home in San Antonio.
