Ira Lee Reavis, 78, of Sabinal died on Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. He was born on June 5, 1938, at the family ranch in Vance. He was a barber, a retired offshore oilfield worker, and a Baptist. He was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, brother, G’Pa, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him so much. He left us with many wonderful memories. He married Olivia Childers on Feb. 11, 1961, in Odessa. He was preceded in death by both parents, John Henry and Lola Reavis; sisters, Nancy Vandermeer and Ester DeVries; brother, Tommy Reavis; son-in-law, Lanny Oliphant; and a great-granddaughter, Kayley Jade Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Olivia Reavis of Sabinal; daughters, Millie Jackson and husband, Tommy, of Pecos, Linda Reavis of Uvalde; sons, Jake Reavis and wife, Trina, of San Angelo, and Wesley Reavis and wife, Sylvia, of Hondo; sisters, Sara Jane Rockhill of Idaho and Ivie Spiller of Eden; brothers, Oscar Reavis of Barksdale, John Henry Reavis of Georgia, and Frank Reavis of Ozona; six grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Baptist Church in Vance. Service entrusted to Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
