Dixon Lee “Dick” Traylor Jr. died on April 9, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 11, 1936, to Dixon Lee Traylor and Stella Rigby Traylor. He was a rancher, a gentleman and a Methodist. Dick graduated from Uvalde High School with the class of 1954. He is survived by his wife, Sue Traylor; daughter, Tina Coffey (Les); son, Dixon Lee Traylor III (Tres); grandchildren, Jacob Dixon Traylor, Travis Claiborne Traylor, Kelsey Elizabeth Adams (Tyler), Garrett Traylor Watkins (Victoria), and Wyatt Baker Watkins; one great-grandson, Tate Adams; and special family friends, Karen Webb and Dennis Wotipka. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Patricia Lynn Brady. A celebration of life was held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, at the Point Comfort United Methodist Church with Pastor Danielle Knapp officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
