
Arturo ‘’Art’’ Lopez Aguirre, 48, of Uvalde died on May 19, 2017, in Castroville. He was born on Nov. 28, 1968, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, to Ofelia (Lopez) and Arturo Aguirre. He married Sandra Camacho on Nov. 7, 2007, in Las Vegas. He was a graduate of Uvalde High School and he owned Lunkers Grill. The family said he was a Pittsburg Steelers and San Antonio Spurs fan who loved music and dancing, barbecue and cooking, and his family and friends. He is survived by his father, of Uvalde; wife, of Uvalde; five daughters, Ofelia Aguirre, Alyssa Aguirre, Kyra Aguirre, Natasha Ayala and Lisa Olivarez; three sons, Arturo Aguirre Jr., Miguel Aguirre and Emelio Ayala; and one brother, Hector Aguirre, all of Uvalde; four grandchildren, Kristina Ayala, Kendria Rodriguez, Kianna Rodriguez and Kaelyn Aguirre; and father-in-law, Fidel Camacho, of Uvalde. He was preceded in death by his mother, and motherin- law, Guadalupe G. Camacho. A rosary was recited on Sunday and again on Monday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A mass of resurrection was held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Hector Aguirre, Daniel Salas, Neto Salas, Miguel Aguirrre, Art Aguirre Jr., Emelio Ayala, Juan Adame Jr., Ralph Arias, Manuel Vasquez, Mike Vela, Tony Martinez, Juan Garza, Miguel Suarez and Oscar Cassiano.
