Matilde Diaz, 97, of Uvalde died on June 6, 2017, at Amistad Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A funeral mass will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. A rosary was recited on Wednesday and again yesterday at 7 p.m. at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary Chapel. A complete obituary will appear in a future edition of the Uvalde Leader-News.
