Hortencia Gonzalez De Leon, 90, of Uvalde died on June 15, 2017, at Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. A rosary will be recited today and again tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. She was born on Nov. 4, 1926, in Camp Wood to Maria (Carbajal) and Alejandro Gonzalez. She married Alonzo De Leon on June 21, 1955, in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. She is survived by one sister, Sulema Hidalgo of Monahans; two brothers, Reyes Gonzales of South Carolina, and Jose Gonzalez of Odessa; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and greatnephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two sisters, Rosa Flores and Fernanda Hoffman; and two brothers, Alejandro C. Gonzales, and Rodolfo Gonzalez.
