Robert T. Vasquez, 55, of Uvalde died on July 7, 2017, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital. He was born on Dec. 11, 1961, in Uvalde to Viviana (Treviño) and Delfino Santiago Vasquez. He married Julia Acuña on May 27, 1989, in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife, of Uvalde; three daughters, Mayra Vasquez and Sabrina Vasquez, both of Uvalde, and Samantha Vasquez of San Antonio; one son, Robert A. Vasquez Jr., of Uvalde; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Santos and Ruby Garza, both of Uvalde; one brother, Alfredo Almendarez of Carrizo Springs; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ruben T. Vasquez. A rosary was recited on Sunday and again on Monday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass was held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jimmy Muñoz, Larry Muñoz, Domingo Velasquez, Fidencio Rivera, Johnny Treviño and Esteban Rodriguez.
