Ruben Rodriguez, 44, of Uvalde died on June 5, 2016, at his residence. He was born on Dec. 20, 1971, in Robstown to Oralia (Ramirez) and Jesus Roberto Rodriguez Sr. He married Araceli Lugo on Oct. 27, 2007, in Uvalde. He is survived by his wife of eight years; father, of Pleasanton; step-father, Juan Pardo of Seguin; six children, Oralia Rodriguez and Ruben Rodriguez Jr. and companion, Deanna Clark, all of Amarillo, Miguel Rodriguez and companion, Ivory Casarez, of Canyon, Tiffany Victoria Rodriguez of Amarillo, and Nakisha Monik Rodriguez and Jesus Antonio Rodriguez, both of Uvalde; two brothers, Robert Rodriguez and companion, Denise Reyes, and Juan Ramirez and wife, Charlene, all of Uvalde; five sisters, Soila Rodriguez and husband, Rafael Guajardo, of Uvalde, Sonia Castillo and companion, Julio Torres, of Midland, Monica Rodriguez and companion, Oscar Rosales, of Arlington, Adriana Martinez and husband, Robert, of Grand Prairie, and Mary Jane Perez and husband, Jose, of New Braunfels; and four grandchildren, Zakaryah Ruben Rodriguez, Aracely Jelena Guadarrama, Osiah Elijah Rodriguez, and Avory Maylynn Rodriguez, all of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his mother. Funeral services were held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, with interment following at Hillcrest Cemetery.
