Jose R. Luna, 67, of Batesville died on Sept. 28, 2016, at his residence. He was born on April 27, 1949, in Batesville to Concepcion (Rodriguez) and Juvencio Luna. He is survived by two sisters, Petra Luna Villarreal and Consancion L. Garza and husband, Gilbert; and two brothers, Desidoro Luna Sr. and Juvencio Luna Jr., all of Batesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Alberto R. Luna; and one sister, Felicita L. Hernandez. A rosary was recited on Thursday and Friday at 7:00 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass was held yesterday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Batesville, followed by interment at Batesville Cemetery.
