Irene Nava Warren, 77, of Uvalde died on Sept. 27, 2016, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 6, 1939, in Batesville to Teodora (Mares) and Santos Nava. She is survived by two daughters, Senaida Hurtado and husband, Gillermo, of San Antonio, and Aida Baca of Richmond; one son, Efego Nava of Batesville, Arkansas; three sisters, Anita Nava, Angelina Luna, and Celestina Elizondo, all of Uvalde; three brothers, Eddie Nava of Batesville, and Polo Nava and Freddy Nava, both of Uvalde; 12 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lupe Nava and Willie Nava; and one great-great-grandson, Christian Hurtado. A memorial service was held yesterday at 2 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary.
