Antonio ‘’Tony’’ Guzman Jr., 47, of Derby, Kansas, formerly of Sabinal, died on Oct. 29, 2016, in Wichita, Kansas. A funeral service will be held tomorrow at 3 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary in Sabinal, followed by interment at Sabinal Cemetery. He was born on July 1, 1969, in Burley, Idaho, to Maria A. Flores and Antonio Guzman. He is survived by his mother and her husband, Lynn D’Spain, of Sabinal; his father, of Burley, Idaho; three daughters, Taylor Guzman and Mariah Guzman, both of Hondo, and Hailiegh Guzman of St. John, Kansas; three sisters, Maria Raquel Unrein of Sabinal, Lea Gilliland and husband, Thomas, of Rockport, and Laura D’Spain of Uvalde; seven brothers, Arnulfo Guzman of Sabinal, Gilbert Ray Guzman and wife, Connie, of Del Rio, Carlos Guzman and wife, Imelda, of Uvalde, David Flores and wife, Leticia, of Garden City, Kansas, Juan Guzman and wife, Amy, of Derby, Kansas, Jose Luis D’Spain and wife, Lala, of Amarillo, and Derick D’Spain of Sabinal; one grandson, Lane Anthony Flores; and numerous aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Sally and Charles Darling. Pallbearers will be Derick D’Spain, Arnold Guzman Jr., Robert Castillo, Joseph Guzman, Gustavo Tapia, Israel Briseño, Serapio Guzman, and Devin Kemble. Honorary pallbearers will be Arnulfo Guzman Sr., Gilbert Guzman, Carlos Guzman, David Flores, Lea Gilliland, Juan Guzman, Laura D’Spain, Maria Unrein, and Jose D’Spain.
