Gilberto Lozano Jr., 50, of Uvalde died on Oct. 31, 2016, at Amistad Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on June 2, 1966, in San Antonio to Mary Helen (Ramos) and Gilberto Lozano. He married Esmeralda Uriegas Bermea on Jan. 26, 1991, in San Antonio. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, of Uvalde; father, of San Antonio; two daughters, Meagen Marie Lozano and Izbella Maria Lozano; and one son, Gilberto T. Lozano III, all of Uvalde; two brothers, Manuel Lozano and wife, Elsie, and Eduardo Lozano and wife, Tina, all of San Antonio; mother-in-law, Dolores Bermea of La Pryor; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, and father-in-law, Trinidad Bermea. A visitation was held on Nov. 2, 2016, at 1 p.m at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A rosary was recited on Nov. 2, 2016, and again on Nov. 3, 2016, at 7 p.m at Rushing-Estes-Knowles MortuaryHonorary pallbearers were Manuel Lozano, Eduardo Lozano, John Valle, Joe Bermea, Jake Lozano, Justin Lozano, Ronnie Bermea, Mark Rangel, Adrian Rangel, and John Gallegos.
