William Ward “Billy” Sansom of Uvalde was born on Dec. 28, 1955, to Ira T. and Grace (Ward) Sansom. On March 23, 2016, Billy lost his battle with Hepatitis C and joined his daddy in heaven. He is survived by his mother Grace; brothers Ira Jr. and wife, Judy, (Tres, Phillip and Natalie, their spouses and children) and Joe and wife, Debi, (Clint, Jake and Amber, their spouses and children) and sister Lucy (Christopher Newsom); plus a host of other relatives and friends. His family and friends will be celebrating Billy’s life on April 16 at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Uvalde. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to First Baptist Church, 220 N. High, Uvalde, TX 78801, or to the Hepatitis Foundation International (hepatitisfoundation.org).
