Juanita C. Castillo, 69, of La Pryor died on April 12, 2016, at Uvalde Memorial Hospital. A rosary was recited yesterday and will be recited again today at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in La Pryor. Interment will be at La Pryor Cemetery. She was born on March 10, 1947, in La Mesa to Guadalupe (Rodriguez) and Juan Conde. She married Mariano Castillo in Waco on July 6, 1982. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, of La Pryor; two daughters, Dalia Alvarado and husband, Richard, and Cristina Victorino and husband, Enrique, all of La Pryor; one son, Shaun Villanueva and wife, Melody, of Uvalde; two sisters, Antonia Castro and Sylvia Tenorio, both of La Pryor; four brothers, Ramiro Trevino of Crystal City, and Alfredo Ortega, Patricio Granado and Martin Trevino, all of La Pryor; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Felipe Villanueva Jr.; her first husband, Felipe O. Villanueva; one great-granddaughter, Alesandra Ochoa; and two sisters, Ramona Castro and Adela Tellez.
