Oscar Townsend Moore, 98, of Utopia died on Nov. 30, 2106, at Sid Peterson Regional Memorial Hospital in Kerrville. A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Vanderpool Cemetery. He was born on April 2, 1918, in Vanderpool to Minnie (Polvado) and Oscar Thomas Moore. The family says he enjoyed taking care of his goat herd, gardening, planting trees and living in the country. He is survived by one son, Douglas Moore and wife, Christa, of Bedford; two sisters, Bonnie Baker of Carrizo Springs, and Joann Baumann of Hondo; two daughters-in-law, Dorothy Moore of Utopia, and Darlene Moore of Wichita Falls; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ilene O’Bryant; parents; and two sons, Dennis Moore and Donn Moore.
