Margaret Gonzales Pace, 86, of Victoria, formerly of Uvalde, died on Nov. 30, 2016, in Victoria. A vigil will be held, and a rosary will be recited, today at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes- Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. She was born on March 2, 1930, in Uvalde to Anita (Talamantez) and Florentino B. Gonzales. She married Tom Pace on April 6, 1953, in Seguin. Pace is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Pace of Victoria, and Janet Ramirez and husband, Federico, of Austin; one son, Glenn T. Pace and wife, Anita, of Austin; one brother, Robert Gonzales of Uvalde; four grandchildren, Carlos Ramirez, Emilio Ramirez, Tommy Pace and Joshua Pace; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Pace was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one sister, Mary Zamora; and one brother, Charles Elizondo.
