Wanda B. “Nee Nee” McClure, 67, of Knippa died on Jan. 4, 2017, in Harper. She was born on May 21, 1949, in Crystal City to Ruby Alice (Dennis) and Steve Jefferson Stanley. She married John McClure on May 23, 1979, in Uvalde. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, of Knippa; one daughter, Deborah Lindley and husband, Lamar, of Fredericksburg; one son, Bryan Herman and wife, Michelle, of Murrieta, California; one stepson, Joe McClure; and one stepdaughter, Melissa Tucker, both of San Antonio; one brother, Steve “Bill” Stanley and wife, Joyce, of Charlotte; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. McClure was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Vivian Mae Ayers and Billie Joe Stanley. A funeral service was held yesterday at 2 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lamar Lindley, Justin Lindley, Joe McClure, Jeremiah Perkins, Hunter Herman, and Larry Capuchin.
