Gloria Urrutia, 57, of Uvalde died on Jan. 3, 2017, in San Antonio. She was born on Dec. 28, 1959, in Lubbock to Amelia (Jacques) and Ramon Gonzales. She married Carlos Urrutia on Nov. 22, 1997, in Del Rio. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, of Del Rio; two daughters, Lynn Vasquez and partner, Joe Ledesma, of Louisiana, and Janette Vasquez and partner, Santiago Perez, of Uvalde; two sons, Jamaine Lewis and Isaiah Lewis, both of Baytown; five sisters, Rosalinda Gonzales and partner, Ruben Reyes, of Sabinal, Mary Lou Valdez and husband, Paul, of California, Sonia Arteaga and husband, Leo, of Odessa, Angelina Gonzales and partner, Raymond Williams, of San Antonio, and Marisa Alaniz and husband, Krist, of Uvalde; five brothers, Manuel Jacques of Plainview, Freddie Gonzales and wife, Rosie, Ramon Gonzales Jr. and wife, Elida, and Mario Gonzales and wife, Gloria, all of Uvalde, and Alex Gonzales and wife, Cynthia, of Corpus Christi; six grandchildren, Juan Marcos Rocha Jr., Aaron Rocha, Heather Vasquez, Jazlyn Maldonado, Judah Elijah Lewis, and Matthew Jeremiah Lewis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Urrutia was preceded in death by her parents, and two granddaughters, Monique Rocha and Glorhea Railynn Lewis. Graveside services were held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at Uvalde Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mark Rocha, Aaron Rocha, Joe Ledesma, Santiago Perez, Arnulfo Rodriguez, and Manuel Rodriguez Jr.
