Larry Ben Corder, 79, of Sequim, Washington, died on Jan. 16, 2017. He was born Feb. 27, 1937 in Camp Wood to Sybil Hamrick (Bland) and John Lamar Corder. He graduated from Uvalde High School in 1955, and went on to graduate from Texas State Teachers College in San Marcos. He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Sequim, Washington. Also surviving him are his daughter Johnna Corder Beltran and husband, Louie, of Uvalde; son Jerald Corder and wife, Lisa, of Austin; daughter Lauren Corder of St Louis, Missouri; sister Blanche Bland Pape of New Braunfels, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father Pete Bland; and grandparents Ben and Mamie Hamrick. Family and friends would say he was one of the most talented musicians they have known. No services have been planned.
