
Enedina Chapa Perez, 93, of Uvalde died on Feb. 23, 2017, at her residence. She was born on June 26, 1923, in Uvalde to Antonia (Villarreal) and Serapio Galvan Chapa. She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Besares and husband, Roger; one sister, Evangelina Chapa; and one brother, LeeRoy Chapa Sr., all of Uvalde; three grandchildren, Clara Villa, Marco Besares, and Isabella Besares; one brother-in-law, Leandro Musquiz of Uvalde; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Adolfo Perez; two sisters, Diamantina Musquiz and Ermandina Carmona; two sisters-in-law, Mercedes Chapa and Mary Alice Chapa; and one brother-in-law, Jose Carmona. A prayer service was held on Sunday at 7 p.m. at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service was held on Monday at 3 p.m. at Templo Cristiano, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. Eddie De La Rosa officiated. Pallbearers were Larry Lee Chapa Sr., Richard Chapa, Joe Roy Terrazas, Rick Chapa, Ben Chapa, Steven Villa, Donnie Terrazas, Jeffery Durben, Daniel Fuentes, Frank Lopez, Jonathan Chapa, Jesse Camacho Jr., and Larry Lee Chapa Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Marco Besares and Joe Chapa Jr.
