Virginia “Ginger” Lee Bingham

Virginia “Ginger” Lee Bingham, 65, of Leakey died on April 17, 2016, at her home. Visitation will be held today from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Chapel in Leakey. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at Nelson Funeral Chapel in Leakey. Interment will follow at the Bingham Family Cemetery. She was born on Oct. 4, 1950, in Corpus Christi to Marjorie (Hobbs) and William Ruark. The family says she was a devoted wife and loving mother; she loved all whom she met and never knew a stranger; and she will be missed by family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ronald Ray Bingham of Leakey; mother, of Uvalde; two sons, Christopher Bingham and wife, Katie, of Uvalde, and Russell Bingham and wife, Hermelinda, of Leakey; two daughters, Billie Jean Carr and husband, Tommy, of Austin, and Vicki Leigh Bingham of Sabinal; five grandchildren, Karibeth Bingham, Christina Bingham, Ashley Rubio, John Patrick Ellisor, and Miguel Castro; and one sister, Sue Ann Berry and husband, Mike, of Uvalde. She was preceded in death by her father; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harlan and Bernice Jackson. Pallbearers will be Kilo Sanchez, Bert Martinez, Bill Miller, Kenneth Bohannan, William Spurgers Jr., and Toryn Nixon. Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Everhart and Clement Rosinpal.
