Delfina Arriola, 83, of Uvalde died on May 1, 2017, at her residence. A funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. at Rushing- Estes-Knowles Mortuary, followed by interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. She was born on April 11, 1934, in Sabinal to Paulita (Borrego) and Leon Musquiz. She is survived by one daughter, Lucy Rodriguez; one sister, Nena Sheppard; and one brother, Leandro Musquiz, all of Uvalde; six grandchildren, Alfonso Muñoz and wife, Cristina, Cristy Muñoz, Melissa Castillo, Amanda Martinez and husband, Jon, Tiffany Rodriguez and companion, Devin Adams, and Vanessa Rodriguez and companion, Zachary Vasquez; and numerous great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Felipa Mata and Cecilia Peña; and four brothers, Macario Musquiz, Agustin Musquiz, Manuel Musquiz and Evaristo Musquiz. A prayer service was held on Tuesday and again yesterday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Pallbearers will be Alfonso Muñoz, Oscar Musquiz, Manuel Musquiz Jr., Rick Peña, Juan Peña, Xavier Ybarra, Arturo Ybarra and Conrad Ybarra Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremiah Muñoz and Aaron Muñoz.
