Margie Keese, 81, of Bandera died on May 27, 2016, in San Antonio. A celebration of life will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Grimes Funeral Chapel of Bandera. Martin Smith will officiate. She was born on Aug. 7, 1934, in Seymour to Frieda (Haase) and Henry Arthur Moseley. Keese worked at Bandera High School for many years. The family says she loved working with children, as evidenced by her teaching typing to three generations of graduates. Although retired from teaching for many years, she worked as a secretary with Grimes Funeral Chapels of Bandera. According to the family, she was much beloved as a teacher and friend, and she will be greatly missed. The family says Keese enjoyed reading and gardening, but her true joy was time spent with her two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bub Keese, in July of 2007. She is survived by one daughter, Kim Keese of Bandera; one sister, Linda Stanfield and husband, Ed, of Uvalde; and two grandchildren, Micaela Keese and Mitchell Keese, both of Bandera. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bandera Church of Christ, P.O. Box 873, Bandera, TX, 78003.
