Rosalie Eileen Ruff, 88, of Uvalde died on June 2, 2016, at the Uvalde Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on Nov. 23, 1927, in Sabinal to Nettie (Durham) and William B. Connor. She married Robert Ruff in Hondo in 1955. He preceded her in death in 1985. She is survived by one step-daughter, Juanita Karbler and family of Vickery, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Olivia Connor Allen of Uvalde, who was married to her late brother, William B Connor Jr.; two nephews, William D. Connor and wife, Rose, of Uvalde, Bryan T. Connor and wife, Nicola, of Denton; one niece, Patricia Bjork and husband, Dale, of Georgetown; and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews. Cremation is under the direction of Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A memorial graveside service will be held at a later date at the Rio Frio Cemetery.
