Ricardo Mojica, 68, died on May 23, 2016, in his hometown of Crystal City. A rosary was recited yesterday and will be recited again today at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Benito Juarez Cemetery in Crystal City. He was born on Aug. 13, 1948, in Crystal City to Guadalupe (Cantu) and Manuel Mojica. He is survived by three daughters, Sara Mona Mojica of Crystal City, and Patricia Mojica and Maria Mojica, both of North Dakota; one son, Ricardo Mojica Jr. of North Dakota; four step-sons, Alberto Espriqueta, Jeffery Espriqueta, Jesse Espriqueta and Ramon Espriqueta, all of Crystal City; five sisters, Dolores Mojica Garcia and Rosario Mojica of Uvalde, Micaela Mojica and Gloria Mojica Esparza of Crystal City, and Minerva Hernandez of North Dakota; three brothers, Adolfo Mojica and Joe Mojica of Beaumont, and Alberto Cantu of Crystal City; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
