Jaecob Daniel Gonzales, 30, of Uvalde died on Aug. 3, 2016, in Lovelady. He was born on Jan. 13, 1986, in Uvalde to Julia (Lira) and Daniel Gonzales. He is survived by his parents; paternal grandmother, Olga Brooks; two brothers, Daniel Gonzales Jr. and wife, Clarissa, and Caeleb Daniel Gonzales and wife, Alexandra, all of Uvalde; two nieces, Jaslene Gonzales of Uvalde, and Aubree Gonzales of San Antonio; one nephew, Michael Adam Rodriguez of Uvalde; and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Juanita and Cecilio Lira; and paternal grandfathers, Pedro Harris Gonzales and Gary Brooks. A rosary was recited on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral mass was held on Friday at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Pallbearers were Chris Gonzales, Frank Alvarez, Carlos Camacho, Chacho Gomez, David Flores, and Jesse Coronado.
